Important: Race Numbers & Number Belts

From this season onward, British Triathlon requires race numbers to be worn at all events. This means all competitors at the Harwich Triathlon will need to display their race number during the race.

To make this easier—particularly in transition—we recommend using a number belt. These simple elastic belts allow you to attach your race number once and then quickly rotate it depending on the discipline (typically on your back during the bike and on your front during the run).

Using a number belt means:

  • No need to pin numbers onto different pieces of clothing

  • Quicker and easier transitions

  • Less chance of damaging your race kit

If you don’t already have one, they’re inexpensive and widely available online. For example, here’s a simple budget option:

Investing in a small item like this can make race morning smoother and help keep your transitions simple and stress-free. 🏊🚴🏃
